Well, I usually watch the boards on here especially the LDR and Online relationships. Most of you who have read my posts know that I was in a relationship with someone who I thought was cheating and found out he really was. I dumped him back in Oct. 08. After that long and tiring LDR/OLR, I vowed to never go back to dating someone so far or from online again. Or so I thought. I was an avid WoW player but I had quit right after I left my ex-so. Then a guy I was talking to gave me an extra code for the new expansion back on Nov 08. I started back up the game again and started a DK on my old server that I had quit back in Dec 07. I got her lvl'd up and decided one night I would stay up a little late to dungeon runs. I was looking for a group and got a message from someone to join them. I never knew that joining this group would change the rest of my life forever!
It was an almost full guild run and the GM invited me in. I was very undecided to join since I didn't know if I would stay on this server or go back to the one I was on after I quit that one. Well, I did decide to join. Moving on, we started to do this instance and there was the tank just talking away about random things and I felt so possessed to reply back to him being a silly butt and everything. I was having so much fun talking smack at him and so was everyone else. It felt so good to have fun, I needed that after all I've been through. Fast forwarding lol; throughout my time being in the same guild with him, we slowly became really good friends to the point where we were running everything together. It just got to the point where I was falling for him and I could really tell he was too. I was pulling away though, I wasn't wanting to fall in love and be in another LDR/OLR again. It just got to the point I couldn't take it; I had to admit to him my feelings. This was around the end of Dec. It felt sooo good. From that point on we were really couldn't be apart. Then on Jan 14th 09 he finally asked me to be his girl, officially lol. For Valentine's day he sent me a HUGE teddy bear sprayed with his cologne, a box of chocolates, a card, his kid sent a card to me, a plaque with a poem on it, a talking rose, and a Hello Kitty marshmallow sucker.
Just recently he wanted to show his commitment and trust to me. He sent me his dog tags that he had made and the ones that belonged to his dad, all of his pictures, his Magic cards, a stuffed animal with his cologne some easter stuff for me and my kids, and his kid sent me some dice you put in cars. That stuff he sent me meant a lot to him and was very sentimental. He wanted to show me that he wasn't lying when he said he is coming to be with me and wants to marry me. He felt it was to show me he isn't like all of the other guys that I dated that was ldr/olr. It means the world to me that he did that; that he gave me this priceless and sentimental things for me to hold onto. I love him soooo much! |

Finding someone tht makes you happy is hard to do but when you finally do. Grab tht person with both arms and never let go. Its an amazing feeling it really is. |

Awesome!! I met my wonderful love of my life on Wow too! Our relationship started just like yours, in a way. When I made my warlock I was invited into a guild and was drawn to the GM almost instantly. We had this connection that seemed as if we had known each other forever. Started as friends, then moved on to more as we partnered and quested exclusively together, lvling our toons to 80. After a year we are plannign to meet (in my next jounral entry) We chat every day over our headset..I don't think we've missed hearing each other's voice every day once in a year now. Reading your entry brought back memories and I'm glad to see someone else meeting the love of their life on WoW!

Nice for you. I had a relationship with a man on WOW and things didnt end up good for me. I got played big time for 2 years. I lost my trust in anyone on the internet. I feel like a stupid fool ever believing one word he said. I thought he was the most wonderful man I ever met and it was all a game to him. I found out he did it to some other woman too on that game. I will never understand how someone can play with a person's feelings and lead them on and feel no remorse. |
