In The Absence Of You

Its those hollow notes
My heart now sings
Loneliness I languish
Upon broken wings

My shattered dreams
Are left without light
Could this be the end
Of heart taking flight

I could no longer soar
As wings fall apart
Knowing your silence
Is breaking my heart

For a heart cannot fly
When nothing flows
In the absence of you
My heartache grows
