The Lighthouse
by Glenber

The ship tossed about by the angry sea,
The wind taking its toll without sympathy.

Lost in the vast ocean with no hope in sight,
His sails now stripped, no chance of flight.

Sending out an SOS with no one to hear,
Simply floating along year after year.

With the bow slowly breaking, and from the stern, a doomed groan,
The majestic ship slowly sinking, never feeling so alone.

A voice cries out...."look up now while you can,
If you miss this one chance, you'll die a lonely man."

Weary head now risen, peering out into the night,
The glow of salvation, the most beautiful amber light.

Diving into the abyss look back never more,
Paddling for his life, to reach her glorious shore.

Entering the doorway, not knowing what lies within,
He sees his true soulmate knowing his life will now begin.
