Like the Wind
As I sit out here,
And feel the wind blow,
Making the fallen leaves spin around,
and the swinging wind-chimes, making a beautiful sound,
I sit down and think of you.
You are just like the wind to me,
You can make me fly, high above the ground,
Making me happy as a sunshine,
By turning my rainy days into spring,
Just like you always do,
You make my heart want to sing.
But in other times, when the storm comes,
You can also make me cry,
And weep helplessly.
But after the storm, comes the rainbow,
And with the wind comes the sun,
And so does my love for you,
My song hasnít finished, it just begun.
Like the fallen leaves, I wait,
For the wind to turn around,
Make me fly again,
And bring me back to the ground.
So as I hear the birds sing,
I sing along with them,
I feel as if the sun is smiling,
As it shines down on me.
I am hopeless next to you,
Whatever you want, Iíll do,
And since you are like the wind,
And Iím only like a fallen leaf,
Do whatever it is with me,
As long as you donít leave.
For the leaves without wind donít move,
Nor the wind-chimes play their lovely song,
and the waters of the sea,
need the wind to move along.
