Not Alone (Revised)
by Sieglinde

She loved the rain
he hated it
but loved her

She loved him
He was her everything
She was his life

He was serious
and careful
She had many quirks

Everytime it rained, she insisted he go with her and dance
Everytime she insisted, he refused
and asked her to stay inside with him

As much as she loves to be with him, the rain beckons her
She asks him one more time
He gives the same answer

Out in the rain she goes
All by herself
Twirling
Running
Laughing

Soon his world stops
Her laughing has dissapeared
The love seems lost

She is gone
Only remaining in memories
He stares at her pillow
Not wanting to believe it

One day it rains
He went outside and sank to his knees
For the first time since she died, the numbness he felt turned into tears

The harder he cried, the harder it poured
He stood up and started to twirl

He dances
He runs
He laughs

She is with him
She drenches him with her love
And there he stays

Dancing with her in the rain
Just as she always wanted
